Wrapped Bar Design in Brown and Orange

This is one of a series of designs inspired by a web page of wrought iron components, in particular a length of twisted square section bar. I was fascinated by both the curves, which turned out to be sine waves, and the way the differing faces appear and disappear. The colours are very ‘70s though I was not thinking of that when I chose and dyed them up. The weave is 3 end block weave with shaft switching. Finished with a single Damascus edge and plaits. Cotton warp, wool weft.
