Twisted Bar Design in Red and Orange

This is one of a series of designs inspired by a web page of wrought iron components, in particular a length of twisted square section bar. I was fascinated by both the curves, which turned out to be sine waves, and the way the differing faces appear and disappear. Using two different colour for the faces of the bar gives a look like a four strand laid rope. The analogous colours were chosen to provide definition without too much contrast. The weave is 3 end block weave with shaft switching. Finished with a single Damascus edge and ply and knot. Cotton warp, wool weft.
