Twisted Bar Design in Brick Red and Fawn

This is one of a series of designs inspired by a web page of wrought iron components, in particular a length of twisted square section bar. I was fascinated by both the curves, which turned out to be sine waves, and the way the differing faces appear and disappear. The colours were carefully hand dyed up (the Fawn) and a serendipitous find in the Arts Recycling Centre. The weave is 3 end block weave with shaft switching. Finished with a single Damascus edge and braids. Cotton warp, wool weft.
