Tetrahedron Idea
Test piece
This piece was both an experiment and a test piece for the PWN Angles of Perception exhibition. The concept was to weave a piece that would consist of triangular panels and would then naturally fold up into a tetrahedron. The weaving was all plain weave with the colour changes done by kilim technique i.e. meet and separate. There were warp distortion problems along the weft colour change lines, though not catastrophic. The diagonal finish at one end worked though not as neatly as hoped. Plain weave with Kilim technique. Cotton warp, carpet wool weft. Finish Damascus edge.
