Skeletal Fish Design in Blue and Grey

I came across the inspiration for this fish during my research for the Koi Carp design. I had to sketch this design a number of times before I got the proportions to look right which is the essence of the design. Whilst it is much less complex than the Koi Carp it has an energy of its own from the elegant curves of the stylised ribs and its very simplicity. The weave is 3 end block weave with shaft switching. Finished with Damascus edge. Cotton warp, wool weft.
