Simple vertical stripes design in red-violet grey and colour blend

The second design on a semi experimental setup to do shaft switching on the two warp rug weave. The setup had proven to be useable once a few wrinkles had been sorted out, though, slow and fiddly to do the switching. The design was chosen to be very simple and to involve a minimum of shaft switch moves. Simple designs do not necessarily lack interest and design details. Look at the blending of the odd, dark, very slightly greenish grey with the red violet produces and intriguing purple and the adventitious patterns in the plied yarns. Red-violet weaving warp and a grey versus colour blend by plying thin wefts. The two warp rug weave based on tabby with shaft switching. Cotton stuffer warp, carpet wool weaving warp, carpet and non carpet wool weft. Finish philippine edge with weaving warps darned back in.
