Simple moving blocks design in red-violet and blue

The first design on a semi experimental setup to do shaft switching on the two warp rug weave. The setup was the result of more than a few months of work on the concept, loom modifications and by far the most complicated warping up I had ever done. The design was deliberately chosen to be very simple and to involve a minimum of shaft switch moves. Was the system useable and reliable, and I needed to learn to use it. A pleasing relatively low contrast yet still interesting design where the blue and the red-violet blend into a purple. Red-violet weaving warp and red-violet versus blue wefts. The two warp rug weave based on tabby with shaft switching. Cotton stuffer warp, carpet wool weft and weaving warp. Finish philippine edge with weaving warps darned back in.
