Mondrian inspired design

This is not a straight copy of one of the classic paintings by Piet Mondrian but is rather my attempt to produce a pleasing design using his iconic approach. While appearing a very simple concept it is actually quite difficult to come up with something that does not, somehow, just look naff. Personally I rate my design as a good attempt, but the master would have done so much better. The weave has slightly longer surface floats than I would normally use but it gives better straight lines which fit the subject. Hence, this is probably better suited to be a wall hanging. Decoratively one sided. Six end two tie unit weave with shaft switching and hand manipulation. Cotton warp, carpet wool weft. Finish Damascus edge.
