Krokbragd charcoal, dark red and berber

Krokbragd is a weave structure that I keep coming back to. This is due to the wealth of decorative possibilities and that the top surface of the rug has no floats and so will be as hard wearing as possible. Mostly, however, because it is a weave where I can do the design on the fly without having to plan in detail beforehand. In this design I have repeated a sequence of three colours in a simple characteristically krokbragd motif which does not quite repeat regularly. Cotton warp, carpet wool weft. Finish Damascus edge.
