Kanji C (Jin) design in brick red and fawn

Kanji (Japanese characters) have become somewhat of a cliche in decorative design. However, they are intrinsically interesting as shapes and carry their own meanings, an attractive combination. I spent much unsuccessful time looking at kanji characters that carried the combination of interest, meaning and do-able complexity that would fit on the space I had. In the end I looked deeper and found this which is not a stand alone kanji character but a component of more complex characters. Coincidentally is also resembles the Greek letter lambda which, for me, symbolises light and waves. Three end block weave with shaft switching. Cotton warp, carpet wool weft. Finish Damascus edge.
