Hidden Faces/Cup Rug in Natural and Fine Warm Striping

This was an end of the warp piece, which constrains the dimensions, but gave me an opportunity to try out the fine striping idea I had been thinking about. I chose colours that were all on the warm side of the colour wheel but that varied greatly in value and hue inspired by those usually crochet wool throws people used to have on couches years ago. The design is an old standard but effective none the less and came from some research into hidden objects and negative spaces I had been doing. I nearly used black as the counter colour and am still not sure if I was right. The weave is 3 end block weave with shaft switching. Finished with Damascus edge. Cotton warp, wool weft.
