Geometric design inspired by a tissue box

The pattern on a box of tissues caught my eye and I worked out that it was based on hexagonal tiling with some edges removed and some diagonals drawn in. The flower like central motif is reminiscent of Islamic art as well as an elaborate cast iron and glass roof I saw many years ago. The proportions of the lines and triangles are partially dictated by the (fixed) sett and (already chosen) number of warp threads. Within these limitations the design was tweaked to be pleasing. The contrast between the dark grey and the drab brown/grey I find restful and pleasing. Six end two tie unit weave with shaft switching. Cotton warp, carpet wool weft. Finish Damascus edge.
