Descending Steps design in browns

Another design that came out of my optical illusion researches. It is a sort of visual joke based on what was an interesting exercise in progressively dying wool to darker and darker shades. The stairs descend into a dark space that, of course, is a construct in your own head. This is probably better suited to be a wall hanging. Six end two tie unit weave with shaft switching and hand manipulation. Cotton warp, non carpet wool weft. Finish Damascus edge.
