Chess Piece Knights in red and dark brown

The second of a (very) occasional series based on chess pieces. Traditionally chess pieces could be white, black or (rarely these days) red (Alice in Wonderland, the red queen). I chose red and a design with more detail than my Chess Piece Rooks rug. The interest in the design, for me, is the weird captive space between the two knights. I used a very thick, strong, fawn but non carpet wool and over-dyed it. Better as a wall hanging. Three end block weave with shaft switching. Cotton warp, non carpet wool weft. Finish Damascus edge.
