Broken knot / Breast cancer design in red-violet and green grey
A further design on the semi experimental setup to do shaft switching on the two warp rug weave. A more complicated design in terms of shaft switching as the setup had proven to be useable if slow and fiddly to do the actual switching. An ad hoc design based on a square Celtic knot (which I wove later on this warp) to use up the end of the weaving warp. It was not intended but the motif does resemble the breast cancer foundation’s emblem. Red-violet weaving warp and a multiply plied grey green Harris tweed versus red-violet wefts. The two warp rug weave based on tabby with shaft switching. Cotton stuffer warp, carpet wool weft and weaving warp. Finish philippine edge with weaving warps darned back in.
