Alphabet Krokbragd in Browns

Krokbragd is a Norwegian word meaning crooked weave or path which nicely describes the patterns it produces. This Krokbragd rug is based on a interesting cone of slightly shiny brown natural fibre that I acquired and which I used to make the background on which I used a range of browns, red-browns and yellows for the motifs. Within this limited colour palette visual interest was generated by the various letters and symbols of the roman alphabet that krokbragd could generate. Cotton warp, wool and unknown natural fibre weft.
